STATIC LINE PARACHUTE TRAINING CENTRE
The new Static Line Parachute Training Centre (SPTC) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide safe, practical, and highly effective training for airborne soldiers. Equipped with cutting-edge mechanical, electronic, and virtual reality systems, this advanced training center creates an immersive environment for realistic simulations, allowing trainees to experience near-real airborne conditions, including wind direction, strength, and altitude variations. Covering an area equivalent to a football field, the SPTC can accommodate up to 100 soldiers at once, ensuring efficient and scalable training for large groups. The facility is designed with enhanced safety, enabling continuous training day and night, regardless of weather conditions. Emergency scenario preparation is a key component, with simulations that include various parachute malfunctions and emergency procedures. Additionally, each jump is recorded, providing trainees with immediate feedback through video-assisted debriefs to enhance learning and correct mistakes.
The Mock Tower Training System (MTS) is a comprehensive training tool designed to enhance parachuting skills through various essential drills and techniques. The system begins with Height Acclimation, allowing soldiers to familiarize themselves with heights in preparation for jumps. It also focuses on Equipment Familiarization, ensuring proper use and donning of parachute gear. Soldiers practice Exit and Jump Techniques, including door exits, body positioning, and counting drills to improve jump execution. The system emphasizes Parachute Canopy Control, teaching soldiers how to maneuver their parachutes mid-air and avoid close proximity to other paratroopers. In addition, Malfunction and Emergency Procedures are a critical part of the training, preparing soldiers to handle parachute failures and emergency scenarios. Landing Preparation techniques focus on assessing wind speed and direction to ensure safe landings. Finally, Post-Landing Training includes parachute release, drag avoidance, and equipment recovery to ensure readiness in all situations.
The Parachute Landing Fall Training System (PLFS) is a critical component of parachute training, designed to teach soldiers the essential skills for safe landings. The system includes Progressive Landing Techniques, with simulated landings from varying heights (4m and 8m) and speeds (2m/s to 4m/s) to prepare soldiers for different jump conditions. It also focuses on Controlled Descent, offering high-speed traversing and hoist release simulations to enhance parachute control and precision. Comprehensive Training ensures that soldiers are equipped with personal weapons and gear for jumps, allowing for smooth transitions from air to ground. This training system prepares soldiers for real-world parachute operations, ensuring safety and efficiency during landings.
The Suspension Harness Simulator (SHS) is an advanced training system designed to enhance parachute handling skills in various challenging conditions. It focuses on Canopy Control and Navigation, providing simulations that teach soldiers how to steer parachutes under different wind conditions. The system also offers Rotational Training, helping trainees manage parachute line twists and entanglements effectively. Emergency Procedures are a key component, training soldiers in the proper use and deployment of reserve parachutes during critical situations. Additionally, Realistic Scenarios simulate landings in diverse environments, such as water, tree-covered areas, and high-tension wire zones, preparing soldiers for real-world challenges. This training ensures that soldiers are well-equipped to handle various in-air emergencies with confidence and precision.
The Mock Door Training System (MDS) is an essential training tool designed to simulate real-life airborne operations. It includes Aircraft Emergency Drills, where soldiers practice handling emergencies both onboard the aircraft and during parachute jumps. The system also focuses on Boarding and Seating Arrangements, ensuring efficient organization and seating of paratroopers to maximize jump readiness. Jump Execution training emphasizes precision, allowing soldiers to practice sequential and group jumps with exact timing and coordination. This training prepares soldiers for real-world airborne operations, ensuring they can respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
